Entertainment District Sidewalk Phase 3 - Arlington Independent School District - Settlement; Project No. PWST24016

A resolution authorizing the settlement of negotiations for a street right-of-way easement of 2,700 square feet across a tract of land situated in Block 13, Field Acres, an addition to the City of Arlington, according to the plat recorded in Volume 643, Page 101 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, otherwise known as 1221 East Division Street, Arlington, Texas, for the public use of street improvements, and all necessary appurtenances for the Entertainment District Sidewalk Phase 3 project.

Annual Requirements Contracts for HVAC and Boiler Maintenance, Repair, and Replacement Services, Project 26-0181 

Authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute annual requirements contracts for HVAC and boiler maintenance, repair, and replacement services with:

 

  • Southland Industries, of Garden Grove, California in an amount not to exceed $200,000; and
  • Carrier Enterprise, LLC, of East Syracuse, New York, in an amount not to exceed $100,000;

 

through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative for a total amount not to exceed $300,000, and execute any and all documents necessary to carry out such contracts. Funds are budgeted in Asset Management Account No. CC370105-SC0583 and are subject to FY2027 budget approval.

Authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute an annual requirements contract for local analog telephone services with AT&T DW Holdings, Inc., dba AT&T Enterprises, LLC, of Dallas, Texas, with the Department of Information Resources, through the State of Texas Cooperative Purchasing Program in an amount not to exceed $264,000, and execute any and all documents necessary to carry out such contract. Annual Requirements Contracts for Local Digital and Long-Distance Telephone and Internet Services, Project 26-0180 

Authorize the City Manager or his designee to approve annual requirements contracts for local digital and long-distance telephone and internet services with various vendors, through the State of Texas Department of Information Resources, which is part of the State of Texas Cooperative Purchasing Program, in an amount not to exceed $280,400, and execute any and all documents necessary to carry out such contracts. Funds are budgeted in various departmental accounts and are subject to FY2027 budget approval.

Renewal of Annual Contracts for Grounds Maintenance of Medians and Rights-of-Way, Project 25-0146

Authorize the City Manager or his designee to exercise the first of two, one-year renewal options for the annual contracts for grounds maintenance of medians and rights-of-way with the following vendors:

 

  • Whitmore and Sons, Inc., of Euless, Texas, in an amount not to exceed $756,713, for Districts 1 and 4;
  • Nomadic Capital, LLC, dba Black Hill Landscaping of Fort Worth, Texas, in an amount not to exceed $899,881, for Districts 2 and 3;

 

for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,656,594, and execute any and all documents necessary to carry out such contracts. Funds are budgeted in the Clean Team Account No. CC410701-SC0625 and are subject to FY2027 budget approval.

A resolution authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute an all cash contract of sale with the Arlington Economic Development Corporation for the sale of fee simple property rights of approximately 20.383 acres of land situated in the G.T. Coonrod Survey, Abstract Number 292 and the G.W. Ragan Survey, Abstract Number 1288, City of Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas, otherwise known as 700 West Lamar Boulevard, 715 Ryan Plaza Drive, 701 Ryan Plaza Drive and 1610 North Collins Street, Arlington, Texas for future redevelopment.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

 
 

Recognition of visitors with items of business not on the agenda.

 

Persons who intend to speak during the Citizen Participation portion of an open meeting shall pre-register not later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Persons may pre-register online by calling the City Secretary's Office (817-459-6186), or by completing a registration card at the City Secretary's Office. During the pre-registration process, speakers must provide the following information:

 

     a. the speaker's name and city of residence;

     b. the name of the person or organization that the speaker is representing, if any;

     c. the topic on which the speaker plans to speak;

     d. an indication whether the speaker will be speaking through a translator;

     e. any other information requested by City staff.

 

The City Manager may direct a member of City staff to contact an individual who has pre-registered to speak in an attempt to resolve any issue or concern. Contact by a member of City staff should in no way suggest that the individual should not appear and address the City Council.
